Mothers day gifts in Denver

To find the best mothers day gifts in Denver visit Peace of Mind Massage and Wellness on Old South Pearl Street in Platt Park close by to Washington Park, Cherry Creek, Capital Hill, Englewood, Glendale, and central to all of Denver, Colorado.

Out of all the options for mothers day gifts in Denver, giving the gift of massage therapy is the perfect way to show appreciation for the mother’s in your heart. Send your mother to a beautiful, tranquil environment where she can focus on herself while receiving the benefits of massage therapy. Massage is a great way to relieve stress, recovery from injury and manage chronic pain. No matter what stage the client is at with their health and wellness, massage can gain body awareness and a new sense of self care. Especially for the mothers who are always taking care of those around them, massage allows the opportunity to step away from the hectic daily schedule and just relax.

At Peace of Mind Massage in Denver we believe that massage is most beneficial when the client can slip away into a peaceful environment and the mind can fully relax. We provide solution based massage therapy from trained and knowledgeable therapists, whose attention to detail and ability to focus on the root of the issues make our level of service outstanding. Receiving regular massage can lower blood pressure by increasing circulation, maintain mobility of the joints and muscles, and improve the body’s stress response. Massage is a natural and effective way to prevent injury and manage chronic pain. Our clients come to us with their pain and we blend the modalities that we specialize in to concentrate on the cause of the pain. If you’re giving a mothers day gift to a mom who has not ever had massage before or is reluctant to try, rest assured our Denver massage studio has experienced therapists and a very comfortable environment.

Concerns that massage can effectively address are broader than you might think. Myofascial trigger point therapy can relieve pain from carpal tunnel, sciatic pain, chronic back pain, arthritis, headaches and migraines and plantar fasciitis. When the body endures repetitive motion from driving, lifting, and day to day running around of the mothers who are always on the go, the muscles develop trigger point from the tightening of the connective tissue which promotes those movements. Myofascial release technique releases the connective tissue fibers to restore the muscles to their full range of motion and flexibility. Many of our Denver massage clients who are mothers look forward to the hour of self-care because it improves the quality of their life and helps them lead their healthy families. Massage is a mothers day gift that has benefits far beyond one day of pampering.

Now that we’re entering into the busy summer, massage can be incorporated into health regimens to make the summer activities more enjoyable. Massage is perfect for the people who practice yoga, hiking, cycling, swimming, running, and sports. For the athletic mothers, sports massage can give them a break from training and get them in tune with their bodies to improve their performance or address athletic injury sites. Sports massage incorporates passive stretching and neuromuscular trigger point therapy to gain full range of motion of the limbs and core muscles. A sports massage session is still a relaxing experience because it is blending with myofascial release and deep tissue techniques to get the body to a deeper state of relaxation. Massage is the perfect mothers day gift for the active mamas and grand mamas! Here in Colorado, you’ll see moms of all ages hiking trails, climbing fourteeners, and skiing mountain tops.

Adding heat treatments with hot stones or hydrotherapy creates a deeper state of relaxation to any type of massage session. We also incorporate aromatherapy into our massage sessions, using all natural Young Living essential oils, to ground and calm the client. The combination of heat and essential oils allows the therapist to work deeper into the belly of the muscle to fully release tension or pain. All of our additional services; aromatherapy, hot stones, hydrotherapy, and any other massage modality; can be added to a massage session at no additional cost to the client. By using all of the methods we have available, we will be able to leave the client feeling much better than before the session. You can give your mom a massage gift card for mothers day knowing that card is good for any of our awesome massage services in Denver!

Gift cards can be purchased at the studio or online for any desired amount and can be used towards any service that we offer. After receiving any type of massage there might be some residual pain from having the muscles worked on, this can be prevented by drinking plenty of water before and after the session and applying ice treatments to sore areas. Massage is equivalent to a passive work out for the body, and will improve the health of any client. Mother’s day in Denver

To find the best gift idea for Mother’s Day in Denver visit Peace of Mind Massage and Wellness on Old South Pearl Street in Platt Park close by to Washington Park, Cherry Creek, Capital Hill, Englewood, Glendale, and central to all of Denver, Colorado.

If you’re looking for the perfect Mother’s day gift idea, Peace of Mind Massage can help you give the mothers in your life an experience that is truly all about them. Mother’s Day is about showing the women in our life how much we appreciate them, and what better way than giving them the gift of massage therapy. We offer gift certificates in any amount, and the balance can be applied to all of the services we offer. Whether you are treating your own mother or any of the women who have been a positive force in your life, they will find the perfect massage with our talented therapists at our beautiful and tranquil wellness center.

Massage is a great way to balance the mind, body and spirit, and we specialize in bringing relaxation and rejuvenation to those who need it the most. The benefits of massage therapy go far beyond relaxation. It is our philosophy that once the mind and spirit can fully relax, the muscles of the body will be able to release from painful holding patterns that are induced by day to day stress and repetitive motion. Daily activities like driving, working at a computer, and taking care of children involve constant activation of the same muscles. The muscles are surrounded by connective tissue which promotes mobility and strength to get these jobs done. Once the connective tissue has been overused it tends to twist around the muscles, restricting blood supply to the muscles and creating myofascial trigger points which are commonly known as “knots.”

We all know that a mother’s job is never done, so even if their children are already grown, they are still working hard. Show the moms in your life you appreciate them this mother’s day by giving their sore muscles some relief! Releasing the connective tissue and trigger points is essential to preventing pain and injury. There are several approaches to relieving tension and pain with massage therapy that are relaxing and calming for the client. It can be helpful to add hydrotherapy treatment, where moist heat will be applied to the muscles, in order to increase blood flow and allow deeper massage into the muscles. An additional option for heat therapy are hot stones, smooth basalt stones heated to approximately 130 degrees, which can be added to any treatment to gain the maximum benefit from the massage session. Aromatherapy, which involves pure essential oils being applied to specific sites of the body, can benefit the client by utilizing the healing properties within the essential oil blends. Essential oils are effective when incorporated into regular massage, or along with a heat treatment. Alternating heat treatments with all natural cooling massage lotion can stimulate blood flow and decrease inflammation within the tissue to reduce the soreness that can be felt after receiving deep tissue massage.

Essential Oils in Denver

To find the best massage with essential oils in Denver visit Peace of Mind Massage and Wellness on Old South Pearl Street in Platt Park close by to Washington Park, Cherry Creek, Capital Hill, Englewood, Glendale, and central to all of Denver, Colorado.

We’ve just introduced essential oils to our therapeutic massage sessions at Peace of Mind Massage in Denver. The essential oil blends, from Young Living, have been selected specifically with our clients in mind. We are excited to provide quality essential oils in Denver from Young Living, a company that leads the industry with well researched and tested products. Essential oils are effective in relaxing the body, as the aromas are inhaled or applied to the skin, and the natural properties of the oils pass through the body without leaving residue from additives.

We have chosen three blends, each one focusing on aspects of the mind, body and soul. Valor is a blend of rosewood, blue tansy, frankincense, spruce, and almond oil. This blend was created for the purpose of bringing alignment to the body so that imbalances can be naturally worked out. Frankincense is traditionally used in Middle Eastern healing ceremonies and is considered to be holy due to the medicinal properties. Rosewood is extracted from the wood of the tree making it beneficial to the skin and having antibacterial qualities which are preventative of illness. Blue tansy is steam distilled from a flowering plant and has cleansing properties which rid the liver and lymphatic system of toxins, and also rid the mind of negative emotions. Spruce is traditionally used to open communication between Native Americans and their environment. As oil, Spruce is beneficial for any condition where there is blockage or an adhesion such as, arthritis, respiratory or sinus conditions and sciatic pain. The almond oil provides nutrients to the brain and nervous system, making the Valor blend useful for grounding and bringing balance to the client. Valor is applied to various sites of the body, typically at the beginning or end of the massage to prepare the body for massage or to leave the body in the most relaxed state after the massage.

For specific muscle tension, injury, or headache and migraines the Aroma Size blend eases inflammation and relieves tight muscles. Aroma Siez consists of Basil, Marjoram, Lavender, Peppermint and Cypress. Marjoram increases blood circulation by opening up the blood vessels and as result relieves physical pain ranging from nerve pain and headaches to menstrual problems and muscle spasms. Basil and Peppermint are both antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory making them useful in relieving headaches and muscles tension. The application of Lavender promotes tissue regeneration and speeds up wound healing. Cypress derives from wood and improves circulation and helps the body and mind heal from emotional trauma. Aroma Siez can be applied to a specific area of localized pain to release the muscles and promote quicker healing in the pain site.
 photo IMG_6861_zps6ce53575.jpg
Sacred Mountain is a blend of Spruce, Idaho Balsam Fir, Cedarwood, and Ylang Ylang. This blend is used to instill strength, empowerment, and grounding. It is said to bring about the feeling of protection of being in a sacred environment. Since this blend contains oils from three different trees; Spruce, Idaho Balsam Fir, and Cedarwood; it is a very anchoring blend that brings the spirit connection to the mind and body. Ylang Ylang means “flower of flowers” and is distilled from the petals of the plant. It balances female-male energies and enhances spiritual attunement. The Ylang Ylang aroma adds a lighter quality to the Sacred Mountain blend, bringing peace and riding negativity. Sacred Mountain is typically applied to the upper body focusing around the spirit chakra.

When we use these essential oil blends on our clients, we find the effects to be immediate and noticeable to the therapist and the client. If you are the type of client who finds that it is hard to relax during a massage because your body just doesn’t know how to “let go” of the day-to-day tension, essential oils are helpful in getting the client to the next level of massage. The aromas from the essential oils simply pass through the body like vapors, so the body will typically let go of stress or tension without the client even knowing. The more relaxed the client can get during a massage, the deeper into the tissue the therapist can work resulting in full releases of problematic muscles. These essentials oil blends can be added to any type of massage session, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, trigger point, deep tissue, hot stone, Swedish, TMJ release, Craniosacral therapy, manual lymphatic drainage, and sports massage. At Peace of Mind we blend together all of the modalities that we know in order to facilitate the most beneficial massage for each client.
 photo IMG_6867_zpsbe3d730d.jpg
If you’re looking for essential oils in Denver we also now sell the 3 blends we just mentioned. As Young Living essential oil distributors, we have access to more essential oils as well. Using essential oils at home brings the spa to you. You can buy a oil burner to inhale the aromas through out your home. We also include a roll on top for you to easily roll the essential oils directly onto your skin.

We are ecstatic to be offering essential oils in Denver to our clients at no additional cost. We believe in enhancing the massage experience and getting the most therapeutic results possible with out putting an up charge onto the client’s bill. The added stress of choosing to pay more defeats the purpose to us. We want to give our clients the experience of essential oils because we know it will create a better massage experience and enhance the effects of the massage. Call us at 303-881-5533 to set up your massage appointment with essential oils or you can book an Aromatherapy appointment online by clicking here.

Oncology Massage in Denver

To find the best Oncology massage in Denver visit Peace of Mind Massage and Wellness on Old South Pearl Street in Platt Park close by to Washington Park, Cherry Creek, Capital Hill, Englewood, Glendale, and central to all of Denver, Colorado.

If you’re looking for a Denver Massage Therapy practice that offers specialized oncology massage, Denver Peace of Mind Massage is the perfect location. Oncology massage can be an integral part of a cancer patient’s self-care and treatment, and at Peace of Mind we provide high quality massage therapy in a uniquely relaxing environment.

Going through cancer treatment is strenuous process; with routine clinical doctor’s appointments, medical treatment, added to the normal stresses of daily life. It is important for clients undergoing treatment for cancer to take time for self-care in a relaxing environment that promotes awareness and mindfulness. Massage therapy can help lower pain and stress levels in the body during treatment, and help keep the client in touch with their body through such a difficult process. The intention behind oncology massage is to give the client a one-on-one care session that uses touch to bring balance and comfort back to their body, and in doing so achieving greater physical, mental and emotional health. Because there have been observed benefits of massage therapy improving the overall condition of cancer patients, doctors have been recommending massage therapy more frequently in addition to medical treatment. Recently we had the honor of providing massage to Oncology patients and their care givers at University of Colorado hospital in the Anschutz patient pavilion. The hospital and organization Spa4ThePink wanted to give patients a day of pampering and introduce them to providers in Denver of holistic healing treatments such as massage, facials, yoga, and meditation.

We believe that the full experience of relaxation with massage therapy should start when the client walks through the door of the massage center. Peace of Mind Massage in Denver has been designed on the concept that people relax easier when they are surrounded by beauty in a tranquil environment. Before even climbing on the table we want our clients to get a sense of relief by the surroundings as well and the attention paid from the massage therapist to the treatment and current condition of the client. In cases of surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy the therapist will customize the massage session for the most benefit of the client. Clients are able to receive massage throughout the entire process of cancer treatment, although there might be some areas of the body which the client prefers not to have massaged due to pain or discomfort. Receiving massage therapy during chemotherapy can help circulate the chemo drugs through the body quicker, which may intensify the chemo side effects immediately after the massage, but will lead to a faster recovery from the side effects and treatment. In cases of hypersensitive skin during radiation therapy, massage can provide a soothing and cooling sensation to the skin as well as relaxation to other areas of the body that aren’t being treated.

There are several massage modalities that the massage therapist will be able to use for oncology massage. Manual lymphatic drainage is typically associated with oncology massage and although it is beneficial for clients who have breast cancer, lymphedema or edema; and is helpful in protecting the lymph system against harmful effects of radiation therapy, it is only one of several approaches to oncology massage. Swedish massage uses a variety of strokes at specified levels of pressure to balance the circulatory system and calm the nervous system. Massage to the scalp can be helpful to clients experiencing hair loss from treatment; to help reduce pain during hair loss and stimulate hair growth after treatment. Reflexology is an effective way to activate specific areas of the body when full body massage is not possible. Depending on the clients condition, we can also use release specific modalities that pain and muscular tension.

The therapists at Peace of Mind Massage in Denver integrate multiple modalities into each massage session to meet the needs of each client, since each body is different, each session is different. Our knowledgeable therapists specialize in deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release technique, TMJ massage, medical massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Craniosacral Therapy, reflexology, trigger point, hot stone, and more. We love working on the Oncology community. It is a beautiful experience bringing joy to a person’s life, especially amidst such a painful process. Moments of pain relief and pleasure during a time of pain and suffering are priceless. It is our duty as practitioners of the healing arts to expose the benefits of massage for all. Our goal at Peace of Mind Massage in Denver is to provide affordable massage therapy services our clients can use on a regular basis, not just once in a while. Massage is not a luxury, it’s a physical and emotional necessity, especially important in any healing process. It is a completely natural and healthy way to cope with pain. If you or someone you know is going through Oncology treatments, please let them know massage can help!

Pregnancy Massage in Denver

To find the best pregnancy massage in Denver visit Peace of Mind Massage and Wellness on Old South Pearl Street in Platt Park close by to Washington Park, Cherry Creek, Capital Hill, Englewood, Glendale, and central to all of Denver, Colorado.

Moms or expecting moms need pregnancy massage to combat the aches and pains of child baring, child birth, and child care! Here in our Denver Massage studio we call it mommy-itis. Baby in the belly, baby on the hip, baby tugging and pulling at your hair while you’re carrying them…all these unavoidable situations are all a part of mommy hood and massage can help you manage!

For a woman, pregnancy massage is one of the best ways for the expectant mother to find comfort and relief from pain. It is just as important for the new mother to follow up with post-natal massage to help restore the body’s natural balance. Even after the pregnancy has ended and the body has gone through child birth, a woman’s body continues the process of returning to a balanced state and adapting to the care of a newborn. Whether a mother is experiencing pregnancy and childbirth for the first time, or has already experienced pregnancy, massage can effectively comfort the mother during pregnancy and support the body’s process post-pregnancy.

For women who are pregnant, massage can help ease muscular tension and pain caused by pregnancy. By lowering blood pressure, increasing circulation and calming the nervous system massage can be an integral part of the pregnancy wellness plan. Many women find that prenatal massage helps them to sleep better and maintain higher energy levels by relieving headaches, back aches, and discomfort of the lower body. Pregnancy and childbirth is a beautiful and natural process but it puts stress on the body systems of the mother to support the development of the baby. Pregnancy massage can help lower emotional and physical stress levels, and many of our prenatal clients have said that they couldn’t imagine going through pregnancy without receiving regular massage.

Post natal massage can be just as important for the mother, and will also benefit the newborn child. Following childbirth the mother’s body slowly returns to balance from the changes during pregnancy. Massage will help release the muscles of the hips and back to eliminate pain in these areas, which are affected muscularly and structurally during childbirth. Many women experience chronic back pain, hip pain, and sciatic pain after childbirth. Myofascial release techniques, trigger point massage, and neuromuscular therapy are effective ways to release the primary muscle groups that cause back and hip pain.

During pregnancy the abdomen muscles split to accommodate the growth of the baby. As abdomen muscles are healing, the muscles of the back can be over activated causing muscular tension and myofascial trigger points to develop which cause pain and limit mobility. For women who give birth through cesarean section, the recovery process and wellness plan may look slightly different. While their body recovers from the changes during pregnancy it is also healing from major surgery. The symptoms and areas of pain are similar following all types of childbirth, cases of cesarean section may require more time for the healing process.

Massage naturally helps the body distribute hormones evenly by balancing the flow of lymphatic fluid and drainage. Hormone imbalances in the body can cause headaches, irritability, sleeplessness and depression. All types of massage can improve the balances of lymphatic movement and also communication of the nervous system. There is also a specific technique for Manual Lymphatic Drainage that can be used to ease the pressure in the lymph nodes in the neck, chest and axillaries (arm pits) due to milk production and breast feeding.

It is common for mother’s to experience fatigue, depression and sleeplessness after childbirth. Not only is the body healing but there is also a newborn to be attentive to, which puts additional strain on the mother’s body. Massage can help ease pain in the upper back, neck and shoulders caused by the postures of holding a baby and nursing. Swedish massage, hot stone, and all techniques of deep tissue will help the body adjust to these new demands by releasing muscular tension and relaxing the nervous system. Trigger point and myofascial release techniques can also be implemented to identify specific pain sites and release muscles that can cause radiating pain, migraine headaches and structural imbalances.

Pregnancy massage is a wonderful way for the mother to optimize her health by relieving pain and connecting with her body. Receiving even one massage a month can keep the body on the road to recovery and improve a mother’s health. After all those nine months of pregnancy are just the beginning of a mother’s journey and continuing to take care for herself is important for her health and the health of the child. At Peace of Mind Massage we have trained therapists with extensive experience working with pregnant and post-natal woman. We also use a special bolstering system for optimum comfort during pregnancy massage. To schedule an appointment please call or book online!

Active Isolated Stretching for dancers in Denver

To find the best massage and Active Isolated Stretching in Denver visit Peace of Mind Massage and Wellness on Old South Pearl Street in Platt Park close by to Washington Park, Cherry Creek, Capital Hill, Englewood, Glendale, and central to all of Denver, Colorado.

Whether you dance professionally at the Colorado ballet, take dance classes for fun and exercise at a dance studio such as Tease studio in Denver, or just like to shake your groove thing on the dance floor at popular Denver nightclub Beta, combining Active Isolated Stretching and massage therapy helps dancers of all disciplines to stay in shape and prevent injury. There are so many ways in which massage therapy and Active Isolated Stretching can be integrated into the wellness plan of dancers to improve their practice and maintain optimal physique for regular workouts and events. All types of dancing engage the entire body and several groups of muscles whether it is being used as a practice or as a variation in workout. Most dancers will encounter pain or injury from overuse rather than from trauma, and massage therapy can relieve muscle tension from overuse.

Active Isolated Release Technique, or Active Isolated Stretching (AIS), was founded by Aaron Matte, who specializes in working with athletes, and this technique was adapted for athletes to prolong their practice as well as rehabilitation from injury. Aaron Matte’s philosophies around stretching differ from what other disciplines recommend, but Active Isolated Stretching proves to be effective in rehabilitation from injury and athletic training. In other techniques it is recommended to stretch muscles for sixty seconds or more, in order to get a full release of the muscle. Prolonged stretching, while useful for some practices, can engage the protective reaction of the muscles to guard against overstretching. Active Isolated Release Technique maintains that stretches should be held for no more than two seconds, and repeated in sequences. Brief and gentle stretching allows the muscles to reach maximum length without engaging resistance to the stretches.

Active Isolated Stretching technique is effective for injury prevention, pain reduction, or injury rehabilitation. The shortened sequences of stretches allow the muscles to fully lengthen and relax with the movement while improving range of motion, joint mobility, and muscles strength. The length and repetition of the stretches increases blood flow to the area with each sequence, this will activate healing in the area. Since the motions are smooth and expand on the client’s existing range of motion it prevents muscle aggravation from overstretching and prevents lactic acid from building up in localized areas of the muscle. For dancers this technique builds strength in the muscles with low impact movement, and is gains stability in the joints. This can sustain balance and stability when the muscles are in motion, as many dancers will have their muscles in full extension during connected movements. Incorporating Active Isolated Stretching into their routine can help prepare dancers for events or performances, and can also assist in post event care to release overworked muscles.

Areas of common concern for dancers are often the lower leg, ankles, and feet. Because the muscles and bone structure in this area is small by nature, some of them can be difficult to access with regular massage alone. Active Isolated Stretching utilizes the body’s natural movement and flexibility to release the specific parts of the muscles that are activated during repetitive movement. Other areas of common pain are the hips and low back, which can be stretched and released with Active Isolated Stretching treatment by engaging more than one muscle group at one time in the same fashion they are stimulated during movement.

One of the unique benefits of Active Isolated Stretching is that the protocols can be adapted and used as a warm-up before and event or workout, so the client can continue to make progress with the treatment between sessions with the massage therapist. Active Isolated Stretching is an effective treatment to use as a massage treatment, but it is also there when you need it before getting on the dance floor! As with any other type of massage, we recommend hydrating the days before and after receiving massage because it will help lubricate the muscles and the tissue surrounding the muscles which will allow for full release, as well as aiding in the detoxification process.

If you are interested in integrating Active Isolated Stretching into your wellness program we have massage therapists who specializes in the technique of Aaron Matte and are excited to provide Active Isolated Stretching treatments to dancers and other athletes as well! Aromatherapy Massage in Denver!

To find the best aromatherapy massage in Denver visit Peace of Mind Massage and Wellness on Old South Pearl Street in Platt Park close by to Washington Park, Cherry Creek, Capital Hill, Englewood, Glendale, and central to all of Denver, Colorado.

If you are looking for a new way to relieve stress and add to the benefits of your therapeutic massage in Denver, you should consider incorporating aromatherapy massage. What is aromatherapy? Aromatherapy is a natural way to relieve stress and address specific concerns using aromatherapy oils that are suited for your needs. Aromatherapy massage is effective in two ways, first by calming the nervous system with therapeutic scent and also by absorption the body is able to utilize the natural therapeutic properties of the oil. Most essentials oils are acquired through a process of extraction using a portion of a plant or a flower. The concentrated solution of flower or plant extract carries healing properties that are present in the plants themselves.

Eucalyptus oil is derived from the leaves of a eucalyptus tree, and can be used a natural aid for opening up the respiratory system. Aromatherapy massage can be helpful if you typically suffer from bronchitis, pneumonia, or asthma. If the temperature and pressure change of this season causes a sore throat or sinus congestion, adding eucalyptus to your neck and shoulder massage can help release pressure from the upper respiratory system. Since the chest and ribs tend to be an emotionally guarded area of the body, eucalyptus can help release emotional constriction or feelings of anxiety.

Tea tree oil is a natural anti-biotic that can be used for killing bacteria and healing infections. During aromatherapy massage, tea tree oil will be applied directly to the skin and can help with acne by killing bacteria on the skin. It also acts as an anti-inflammatory for joint pain in cases of arthritis or injury. Because of its cleansing properties tea tree oil is also considered to be a good pro-biotic and topical use stimulates healing in the digestive system.

Lavender oil is extracted from the flowers of the plant, and its calming properties can aid depression, headaches, anxiety, and stress. Lavender is very helpful with insomnia and sleep disorders because it can relax an over-stimulated central nervous system. This effect can also be good for sprains, strains, sore muscles, and back aches. Because it helps promote hormonal balance, Lavender is contraindicated for women who are pregnant or nursing, but can be useful to women experiencing menopause or PMS. If you are pregnant aromatherapy massage may not be a good choice as scent is often stronger during pregnancy and the aromas could irritate a pregnant woman.

Rose oil, which is extracted from the flower through distillation, also helps restore hormonal balance and therefore should not be used in the first four months of pregnancy. But it can be very useful in relieving menstrual cramps and symptoms of PMS. Rose is naturally calming and soothing, and can be used during times of grief, anger, depression or emotional stress. Commonly used for skin care because it expels toxins and increases stimulation, Rose can also be good for stimulating the lymphatic system.

At Peace of Mind Massage in Denver any of these essential oils can be added to your massage. We also offer selective blends of essential oils to combine the benefits of different treatments. When essential oils are incorporated into the aromatherapy massage, it causes the nervous system to slow down and relax and allows the therapist to access the deep tissue of the muscle because the body is so relaxed. There are a variety of ways that aromatherapy can be added into your massage session. Raindrop therapy consists of dropping a small amount of essential oil directly onto the skin and then through massage the oils will be absorbed into the skin to benefit specific problems. Adding a heat treatment into the massage will open up the skin pours and allow for optimum absorption of the oils. Essential oils can be used with hot stones, hydrothermal hot packs, and also with a warm towel depending upon your sensitivity to heat.

There are numerous benefits of aromatherapy massage beyond the powerful scent. If you are interested in adding aromatherapy to your massage treatment, or if you have an essential oil that you already prefer, ask your therapist to incorporate it into your next massage. It can easily be added into deep tissue massage, sports massage, hot stone massage, Swedish massage, myofascial release techniques and more! The best part is we do not charge extra for aromatherapy massage. At most high end Denver spas you’ll find an up charge for the use of essential oils, hot stones, or even deeper pressure! At Peace of Mind Massage, we believe in creating a deeply therapeutic massage that targets specific client needs. You can afford to pamper yourself with a relaxing and therapeutic aromatherapy massage at our Denver massage clinic.
